About eSIM Comparisons

What we do

eSIM Comparisons puts the five leading travel eSIM providers side by side: HelloRoam, Airalo, Holafly, Saily, and Nomad. We compare them on five equal-weight dimensions covering coverage, pricing, network generation, app quality, and customer support channels.

Every comparison is built from the same framework. We verify prices manually against provider websites, record the network partners and support channels each provider publishes, and stamp every number with the month it was checked. When a provider improves or a price drops, our rankings update.

Our methodology

We score each provider across five equal-weight dimensions on a 1-5 scale:

• Coverage Breadth (20%) — Number of countries, network quality, regional plans
• Pricing Tiers (20%) — Per-GB cost, daily rates, plan size options
• Network Generation (20%) — 4G LTE and 5G availability, local carrier tier
• App Features (20%) — Activation flow, data tracking, plan management
• Support Channels (20%) — Which channels exist, and whether any of them are real-time

The overall score is a weighted average. Scores are recalculated when we verify new data.

How we make money

We use affiliate links to provider websites. When you click through and purchase a plan, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

We disclose affiliate links with rel="sponsored" tags and clear labeling.

Editorial standards

Every score comes from the rubric above, applied the same way to all five providers. When a rubric input changes, the score changes with it, and we publish the date of the change.

We publish no network speed measurements and no support response times for any provider. We do not run a test lab, so those numbers would not be ours to give.
